Religion to Spirit: Weekly Recap | December 8-14, 2025
This week’s content continued to move us out of material religion and into spiritual maturity. Across teachings, Hebrews discussions, and live conversation, one truth stood firm: Christ’s victory is complete, and His reign now unfolds in human hearts through love, liberty, and conscience.
Summary of Everything, Part 3
In Part 3 of The Summary of Everything, Shawn traces the movement of human history from law, war, and religion into the present age of Christ’s spiritual reign.
Using history and diagrams, he contrasts the Spirit of Man with the Spirit of Christ, showing how religion has preserved judgment, hierarchy, and fear long after Christ’s victory set humanity free.
Shawn explains that spiritual maturity is not the destruction of evil through force, but the overcoming of evil through agape love. Drawing from thinkers like G.K. Chesterton, he shows how one can rightly oppose evil while still loving the person bound by it.
The teaching concludes with a clear affirmation: we now live in the age of Christ’s spiritual reign, where love alone has the power to reform the world.
Hebrews Chapters 4 and 5
I Don’t Get The Bible Podcast
Delaney and Shawn continue through Hebrews with two conversations that deepen the Yeshuan understanding of the Word, priesthood, and maturity in faith.
In Hebrews 4, Part 3, they explain that the “Word of God” is not the written text, but Yeshua Himself. They trace how early believers understood faith before the New Testament existed and how later confusion turned Scripture into a tool of control rather than love.
In Hebrews Chapter 5, they explore what it means for Jesus to be our high priest, emphasizing His fully human experience of weakness and suffering. They challenge later Trinitarian formulations and show how Christ learned obedience through suffering, becoming the author of eternal salvation.
Together, these episodes call listeners to move from emotional and institutional belief into mature, reasoned, Spirit led faith, described in Hebrews as moving from milk to meat.

The December 11th Call In Hour
This week’s Call In Hour opened with updates on the upcoming Yeshuans Firesides launching in February, followed by wide ranging discussion with the community.
Shawn addressed recent LDS policy changes and answered questions on resurrection, Arianism, the soul and spirit, and the serpent in Genesis. Longtime callers joined the conversation, exploring how to test spiritual influences and reject dogma in favor of personal faith grounded in love.
The episode closed with community updates, leadership reflections, and a look ahead to 2026. Honest, thoughtful, and often humorous, the hour reflected faith in motion, growing together in freedom.
This week reminded us that the kingdom is not coming. It is already here, quietly reshaping the world through hearts willing to live by faith.
