I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately actually. Lots of stuff online that draws on this dichotomy.

I too think Yeshuans is in a different lane, but the distinction is that it is built on the shoulders of it all. Something that I find makes this approach distinct is that God works with us in time. He changes over time in how he works with people. And, while I do not think he authored any religious movement, he ALLOWED them. And we faultily stumble in our collective efforts to understand Him. Yeshuans I do believe is tapped into Truth, but is also situated in time and culture in a way that WILL change, and anticipates that change – unlike the claims of either Protestant or Orthodox views. It will change because of our subjective knowledge of Him and His ultimate Truth.

This is an AWESOME question. We will bring it up on our call in show if that’s okay with you? I can also attempt to give an answer here in writing too – give me a minute to get back to it. But I love it, and think there is a VERY important role in the decisions we make in our lives on this earth, and that they very much have consequences… but we try to untie them from damnation and estrangement from God. It is heavy though because we still find there to be rewards in the afterlife nonetheless.

Claire send your thoughts! I’ll also chime in that I believe Shawn comes from the fact that the term begotten is only used after Yeshuas death (idk if it’s death or resurrection), not before.

The only thing is that I basically just chop up content we’ve already made, because we don’t have enough time to also make new content. So the clip sorta “is what it is”, which isn’t always great.

Whenever we do grow, we will definitely try to make the content more holistic!
